My father once told me that the decisions you make in life will be guided by different habits. Some great, some not so great, but one of the worst habits that will try to guide the direction of your life will be fear. Fear to change. Fear to be different. Fear to move forward. Fear to experience far, deep, and beyond. He said, “There are many people that never leave their homes, jobs, friends, or family because they feel secure with what they have. However, as secure as they may seem, maintaining their lives in their same old ways, they become prisoners and slaves of their very own lives. For the person that confronts life, throws themselves into the unknown, and moves forward without the fear of losing or changing, is yet liberated and free.”
