Dear Readers,
I haven’t forgotten about you or your fashion needs- on the contratry, I have been shopping/testing/reviewing/and maxing out that magic plastic card spending dinero on the newest must-try’s of the season! Before I give you the scoop on the newest beauty products, however, I wanted to share with you some exciting events going on this weekend in the city! This week I might not be able to attend some of these events due to the fact that I am very much indeed preparing to leave for VEGAS this weekend and continue to celebrate my 24th Birthday!!!!!!! If you have been watching television lately, particularly the program “Friday Night Lights” or the new CBS show “The Defenders”, you may have noticed a young actress who looks very familiar. Don’t get your brain twisted too much, because you definitely have seen this actress before. Since the early 90’s, when she played on the show “Full House” as Michelle Tanner’s best friend Denise, and as the innocent young daughter in the 1997 film “Eve’s Bayou”, actress Jurnee Smollett has been quietly lighting up television and film with her unique style. What is it about Jurnee that is so unique? Intensity, boldness, and charm are three words that capture this actress’s magic. Jurnee was born in New York City. She comes from a large family, four brothers and one sister. To see all of Jurnee’s siblings acting together, be sure to download or get the DVD of the ABC show “On Our Own”. You will see a young , feisty, Jurnee and her siblings go through different situations in this comedy which came out in the 1990’s.

On Monday night, September 20, 2010, I attended the Swarovski Elements private event “22 Ways to Say Black” at the Philips de Pury gallery, in NYC. Halle Berry, Jessica White, Sophia Vergara and Ms.Jay from ANTM were just a few of the celebrity attendees. Others included designers such as Vera Wang, Sally Wu, Issac Mizrahi, David Mandel and many more.
