Keeping Up Appearances: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly – Kelsey Grubbs

NYC life looks glamorous. But, in order to have this appearance, it needs some help – sometimes natural, with the help of a little Maybelline makeup, and sometimes not, as in the case of Joan Rivers. Other times, PR skills come in handy to only showcase the Good and untag those “Bad” Facebook photos of you “shwasted” on your birthday, and simply not talk about the “Ugly.”

Let’s talk about the “UGLY.” I initially loved my current apartment with its great location, hardwood floors, and pre-war building charm. However, appearances can be deceiving.

My apartment building has a mice infestation. Not just my apartment, the whole building. You would think that being on the top floor of a six-floor walk-up would keep you safe from the pests seen ravaging the garbage bins at night, but oh no, they’re here, and here to stay.

No Ifs, Ands, or Maybes – It’s Definitely Maybelline: A Maybelline and Garnier Review | Natasha Bouknight

So being a “Label Girl” comes with some great perks. Last week, I was sent some fabulous make-up from Maybelline, along with hair and skin products from Garnier, all of which I enjoyed. In trying out these products, I decided to do a full transformation for all of you to see. We know I’m a glamour girl, but what you may not know is that there’s only so much I’m born with, the rest, well, it’s Maybelline! Take a look.

This is how I started. I know, I know, I look a hot mess, but not for long. Don’t ever say you’ve never seen me all natural.
