On Monday night, September 20, 2010, I attended the Swarovski Elements private event “22 Ways to Say Black” at the Philips de Pury gallery, in NYC. Halle Berry, Jessica White, Sophia Vergara and Ms.Jay from ANTM were just a few of the celebrity attendees. Others included designers such as Vera Wang, Sally Wu, Issac Mizrahi, David Mandel and many more.

Emmy’s 2010 Best Dressed Celebrities – Lauren Rose

So this summer was a busy one but now that it is over, I am back in action and will be writing blogs weekly! What better way to start off autumn then to write about this past weekend’s Emmys!

Besides the best Emmy’s opening I have ever seen and Jimmy Fallon’s hilarious hosting, the fashion was absolutely stunning! Most celebs looked incredible from head to toe. Navy seemed to be the color of the night and elegant detailed gowns ruled the show. After carefully studying each and every star on the red carpet, I decided who my top 10 best dressed celebrities were:

Kerry Washington – Actress making Bold Moves and Turns in Fashion

Actress Kerry Washington is a gifted woman who has been charming and wowing audiences with her acting skills, ranging from dramatic parts such as her role in “Ray,” to funny as in the comedy “I Think I Love My Wife.” Not only has Kerry been a face to watch in Hollywood, but she has also been lighting it up in the fashion world. What makes Kerry stand out in fashion? I would say it is her versatility, boldness, and charm.

Kerry is a woman who definitely has shown much versatility in fashion. She can go from a classic look, representing the socialite/businesswoman, to sporting dazzling and surprising fashions. Kerry knows how to put the feeling of the occasion into her outfits. For example, at the 2nd Annual Essence Magazine Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, Kerry had on a great black dress highlighted with a gold belt. These colors brought out the classic and refined nature of this event.

People have their opinions about plastic surgery, they either agree or they don’t. When I was 16, my mother started taking me to see plastic surgeons for breast implants. Most of the doctors said I was too young and wouldn’t take the case. Granted, these days that’s not the case. So many high school students are having cosmetic surgery to look like their favorite celebrities. Is this something I agree with?  NO.
