Idris Elba – Making Bold Moves in Men’s Fashion

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

Engaging, unique, talented, and cool. These are a few words that would describe actor Idris Elba. Idris has been drawing audiences in since his work on HBO’s hit show, “The Wire”.  Not only is Idris a gifted actor, but the London, England native also does very well in the area of men’s fashion. What is it about Idris that stands out? I would say it is his ability to carry outfits he wears well, and the way that he is able to be versatile with different styles and looks.

Swagger. Idris is a man who can carry the ensembles he wears in a cool way.  He can wear a classic business suit with a vest and look very comfortable. Also, Idris has the ability to wear hats and represent the men of his generation, making them feel up to date.

Kerry Washington – Causes Wave With Fashion During Trip To Spain

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Kerry Washington is woman who can represent many faces in fashion. She can go from casual/cool, to chic, to classic in a switch. I recently found a great photo of Kerry in San Sebastian, Spain. There to promote her movie, “Mother and Child”, Kerry wore a dynamic outfit. What stands out about this outfit is the classic, refined, and stunning look it gave.

To start, the first thing that hits you about Kerry’s outfit is her blouse. It has a sheer, ruffled top in noir, or black, with a nude sorbet layer underneath. Kerry’s top is unique and different. I think the ruffles added to it give it a dramatic look.  The blouse that Kerry is wearing is from the designer Malandrino ( Fall collection 2009). Added to the top, complimenting it, is a straight, black skirt.

Kirsten Stewart – A Young Actress Making Large Steps In Fashion

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Kirsten Stewart seems to be everywhere these days. Whether on the Red Carpet for the premier of “Twilight,” or doing interviews with talk show hosts such as George Lopez (and even juggling for him!),  Stewart has been in the spotlight. What exactly has made her stand out? These attributes can be listed as her strong acting skills, her cool, laid back personality, and last but not least, her fashion sense.

Kirsten Jaymes Stewart was born in Los Angeles California. She spent some early years in Colorado and Pennsylvania but then moved back to Los Angeles. Stewart is the only girl out of a family of all boys (which may explain the tough and resilient spirit she portrays.  She got it from those guys!). At age eight, Stewart was discovered by an agent at her elementary school’s Christmas play, and her life would ultimately go down the path of acting.
