Willow Smith Signs With Roc Nation
Confirmed this week, Willow Smith, has signed on to Jay Z’s label, Roc Nation. The nine-year-old daughter of Will and Jada-Pinkett Smith debuted her first single “Whip My Hair” a few days ago. The pop record garnered high praise from the blogs. Not only is the song impressive for a nine year old to record, it has the ability to chart along with her older competition.
Jay-Z says that it’s rare to find an artist with such talent and creativity at Willow’s age. “When you have that sort of talent, there is no such thing as too young”. And he’s not bluffing. Willow is making headlines thru fashion, acting, and now singing. Check out the track below!

JoJo: ‘Can’t Take That Away From Me’ (Mixtape)
After years of label drama and setbacks, 19-year-old pop singer JoJo drops a new mixtape for her fans. The eleven-track tape features production from Chad Hugo (The Neptunes), Kenna, Neff-U, Oak, Beau Dozier, and Jordan Gatsby.
“I was able to take more of a risk”, JoJo tells Rap-Up.com, “It is all over the place, just like me.” Her first single, ‘In the Dark’, received a lot of praise and offered a new experimental sound, different from her past music.

Idris Elba – Making Bold Moves in Men’s Fashion
Engaging, unique, talented, and cool. These are a few words that would describe actor Idris Elba. Idris has been drawing audiences in since his work on HBO’s hit show, “The Wire”. Not only is Idris a gifted actor, but the London, England native also does very well in the area of men’s fashion. What is it about Idris that stands out? I would say it is his ability to carry outfits he wears well, and the way that he is able to be versatile with different styles and looks.
Swagger. Idris is a man who can carry the ensembles he wears in a cool way. He can wear a classic business suit with a vest and look very comfortable. Also, Idris has the ability to wear hats and represent the men of his generation, making them feel up to date.

Lunchbox Brooklyn
Forest Natural in Greenpoint, Brooklyn was replaced this summer with a new spot called Lunchbox. The new eatery is owned by a couple that live right above it. Lunchbox offers a wide range of breakfast items such as bagels, pastries, egg sandwiches, and more. For lunchtime, they have a variety of sandwiches and salad combinations. They also offer homemade smoothies, juices, and coffees. What’s really great about Lunchbox is that they are open until 10pm. Good quality eateries that stay open late are a rare find. Designer Marc Jacobs Opens Bookstore in the West Village
Marc Jacobs extended his presence in the West Village by opening his own bookstore this weekend. The store, cleverly named “Bookmarc,” plans to have book signings and musical performances. Aside from literature, Bookmarc offers a variety of supplies and accessories that range from colored pencils to keychains and blank journals with witty quotes. Residents of the area are already annoyed by the foot traffic caused by the Marc by Marc Jacobs store. If the combination of that store and this new bookstore wasn’t enough, Jacobs’ business partner, Robert Duffy, told Racked NY they are looking to open a cafe. These plans, however, seem to be looking more uptown.
