“22 Ways to Say Black” A Swarovski Elements Event – Natasha Bouknight
On Monday night, September 20, 2010, I attended the Swarovski Elements private event “22 Ways to Say Black” at the Philips de Pury gallery, in NYC. Halle Berry, Jessica White, Sophia Vergara and Ms.Jay from ANTM were just a few of the celebrity attendees. Others included designers such as Vera Wang, Sally Wu, Issac Mizrahi, David Mandel and many more.

Reiss Opening Store Inside Bloomingdales
Reiss, the British design label is moving in. They have teamed up with Bloomingdale’s to open an in-house shop. This will make shopping, for Reiss lovers, a lot more convenient and bring some more attention to the foreign label.

Christian Louboutin’s New Trainer Line
Christian Louboutin launched a range of trainers recently which although may not have high heels, have high prices. The trainer’s resemble a sort of 80′s throwback of trendy high-tops and are on the eye of many fashionista’s. The crystal encrusted trainers reach a price of about $2,400 while the leopard print version still stands tall at around $930. They are being sold exclusively at Louboutin stores and at Harvey Nichols. Check them out below.

Lanvin Teams Up With H&M For Fall Collection
The Paris fashion leader, Lanvin, recently announced that it will do a collection this fall for H&M. This move will expand the company from more than just a luxury design. Perhaps the line will be more affordable through H&M, allowing Lanvin lovers to actually be able to afford the clothes. At the same time, H&M could be introducing a luxury aspect to their designs. Lady Gaga’s “Meat Dress”
At this years MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga wore a dress made entirely of meat. The dress, designed by Franc Fernandez, featured pieces of Argentinian beef. Singer Cher had to hold the “meat purse” as Gaga accepted her award for “Video of the Year” (won by Bad Romance). Check out the dress below and see celebrity reactions.
