Something New & Fabulous: Honesty Jewelry!

So after watching VH1′s , “What Chili Wants” I came across these honesty bracelets that Chili had on which she also gave as a gift to her date. I didn’t really see the bracelets up close, but i loved the beads so I decided to google and do some research and boy did I discover something great!!! The bracelets are from a Jewelry line called, “Honesty Jewelry.” They have all sorts of beaded bracelets along with different charms and they also have a bracelet dedicated to helping Haiti. They are an Atlanta based company and artists such as Drake, T.I., and Jeezy have also been known to rock these beads and they are just to die for! My absolute favorites are the honesty cross beads, hopefully I’ll be getting one soon :-)

EVOL ROCX – A Lifestyle For The Present & Future: Vlog – Aja Le

@Finishemfresh CEO of EVOL ROCX Clothing was nice enough to send me some great stuff from their clothing line. EVOL ROCX is more than just a clothing line, but “a brand with a future of fashion in mind.” Their logo is quite clever emerging a cave man with a robot and calling it a “Cavebot,” a combination of the best fashion from the past and the future.

Tessa Thompson – Why She Is Gifted

If you saw the movie “For Colored Girls” which came out this year, you may have noticed a young actress who held her own among such acting giants such as Thandie Newton and Phylicia Rashad. This young lady you saw was actress Tessa Thompson.  Tessa has acted not only in movies, but also has a great standing in television.  Tessa has great acting ability and she has shows this through her way to be versatile and fit in any role she takes.  From watching her in “For Colored Girls” this year, I noticed that Tessa may be young but she knows her acting craft well and how to bring out the essence of a character.

As the character “Nyla” or “Purple”, in “For Colored Girls”, you saw through Tessa’s performance a young girl who was going through the growing pains of a young woman. She had to deal with an eccentric family which included a headstrong mother and a wild older sister.  “Nyla” also had to deal with the emotions of having an unwanted pregnancy, hiding it out of fear.

Acqua al 2 DC – Aliya Levinson

Recent winner of D.C.’s 2nd annual Hilly Award, when it comes to the dining scene in our nation’s Capitol, Acqua has quickly achieved the pinnacle.

Acqua al 2 is not Olive Garden. You won’t contemplate catapulting an overcooked meatball at your waiter, and you won’t be served anything akin to mom’s generic eggplant parm. You may, however, find your mom sitting at the next table over. That is, if she can get a table.

Lady Gaga: Dream Killer

In today’s never-ending need to express one’s self, everyone has decided to shift from following a trend to starting a new one. As you may have noticed, every musician has a signature “look”. For instance, Katy Perry is the girl next door meets the 50’s vixen. Nikki Minaj is the “Barbie” sliding down a rainbow into a bowl of skittles. Rihanna is the redheaded futuristic but “I’ll-wear-just-about-anything-sexy” gal.  Taylor Swift is the innocent country girl. And I’m just describing a few of the women who are on ITune’s Top List.
